How to get to Altea
Altea can be easily reached by road, rail and air. The N332 coastal road
runs through the town, whilst the main coastal A-7 motorway, which runs up
to the French border, is only 4 kilometres away. Long distance luxury coaches
from UK and many parts of Europe arrive daily at local stops. There is a
regional rail service which runs from Denia in the north down to Alicante
in the south, and stopping at many of the local towns and villages en route.
Alicante offers regular and fast train services to Madrid and Barcelona,
as well as other Spanish towns and cities.
Alicante airport is less than an hour's drive by motorway from Altea. Many
of the best known European airlines provide a regular service there throughout
the year. In addition, Valencia airport is just over 100 kilometres distant
and offers easy access to the A-7 motorway. Car hire and taxi services are
readily available at airports, railway stations and, of course, in Altea itself.
